Process and Instrumentation Development

The Process and Instrumentation Diagram is at the heart of the engineering documents. This document is instrumental in determining the pieces and preliminary sizes of the equipment, providing line sizes, control methods, and more.
Utility Analysis and Design
When a new piece of equipment is purchased, it requires utilities. Do you know if your existing utilities and service lines are adequate? We can help can evaluate your needs and determine the best way to get your utilities to your equipment. We have performed numerous utility audits determining if equipment will require additional needs.

Energy and Resource Conservation
We have helped in numerous “Green” solutions. Part of the green movement is in resource reduction, but minimizing utilities is not only green, it also saves you money. We can help in this effort.
We have experience in both compressible and incompressible fluids. We have experience ranging from high pressure and temperature liquid piping systems, to compressed gas systems, including fume and dust collection systems.
We can perform stress analysis on piping, pressure vessels and other processing equipment. We have experience in the following ASME B31.1, B31.3, Section VIII.
PTS has the capability to 3D scan your entire plant, areas within your plant, or specific process equipment. For many projects, this creates a major time savings compared to measuring by hand, and allows for 3D models of your plant to be generated so you can better visualize the end result. Once we’ve completed a 3D scan, we have the software to convert the scan into a 3D model. This can give you (or us) a great starting point for engineering improvements to your processes.
We can also perform 3D modeling from hand measurements and provide your team with all of the files you need to visualize your products or processes in 3D.
