PTS is an engineering consulting and project management firm providing services to industrial companies and commercial facilities. James Rader, PE, President
Jim has over 25 years of engineering experience and received his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Toledo in 1989. He received his Ohio professional engineer’s license in 1994, his Michigan professional engineers’ license in 2001 and Florida license in 2014.
Jim’s experience with engineering, design, and project and construction management includes projects for various industrial, chemical, food and beverage facilities. His varied experience in engineering and project management makes him a valuable asset in nearly every application.
John Morris, PE, Vice President
John is in charge of industrial and manufacturing companies and received his Bachelor of Science degree in industrial and manufacturing systems engineering with a minor in chemistry from Ohio University in 2002. John became a registered professional engineer in the state of Ohio in 2008.
John is responsible for management of personnel and projects for industrial and manufacturing facilities. John currently manages a group that is responsible for multiple metal processing projects for industrial facilities. John’s understanding of OSHA requirements, construction methods, and processes makes him a valuable asset in any construction project.
Michael Ahrens, PE, Senior Engineer
With over 35 years of experience in plant engineering and design, Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Case Western Reserve University. For over 30 years, Mike was a plant manager leading or directing all aspects of engineering and maintenance for the facility. He has been a great addition to our staff at PTS with his technical expertise and experience.
Bill Guhde, Senior Electrical Engineer
Bill has a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Technology from Cleveland State University and over 30 years of experience in industrial facilities. Bill has led several complex projects, plant expansions, equipment installations and equipment rebuilds for multiple facilities. His experience in both power and controls makes him a highly valuable resource to our customers.
Glenn McCarthy, Business Operations Manager
Glenn received his bachelor’s degree from University of Buffalo and has over 20 years of senior management experience planning, coordinating and directing organizational operations. Glenn’s responsibilities include: Business Operations, Marketing, H/R and Business Development.
Matt Competty, Project Manager
Matt leads Food and Beverage projects for PTS. Matt received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Ohio University in 2003.
Matt has over 10 years’ experience in project management ranging from facility projects to equipment installations. His previous knowledge from managing numerous projects at metal processing industrial facilities has translated well to managing food and beverage projects.
